Pinterest and Turkey Soup

Now this isn't my typical post but sometimes you have to nourish a different side of yourself...

This past weekend was a rainy one in San Diego and it was so wonderful. I got more done than I have in the past month! Took a yoga class I have been trying to get to for awhile, (those Sunday early AM classes are not easy!) re-decorated my bedroom and felt like a pinterest master after completing the three projects I have been itching for lately.

It felt so good to create something with my hands, to step back and admire my own work (that wasn't a delicious meal). Here is a picture of my wreath that I am so proud of!

What are the moments in your life, weekend, day that you are proud of?

Share them with me. I would love to hear them <3

- Of course I made some turkey stew while working! I think its a rule somewhere that soup has to be made on rainy days.

I had leftover broth and turkey meat in my freezer. Added them to a pot with fresh carrots, onions, garlic and frozen broccoli (made a good substitute for celery which I did not have) Brought to a boil and let simmer for about an hour and a half. In the mean time made some wild rice and added to my bowl. Whenever I add the rice to the soup and refrigerate the rice absorbs all the moisture so I save them in separate containers. Enjoy : )
